Naima Essence is a journey shaped by heritage, memory, and over two decades of devotion to the art of fragrance.
The story begins in the late 1990s with Mr. Munshi, whose deep passion for perfume oils, bakhoor, and frankincense filled our home with warmth, tradition, and a sense of belonging. Growing up in India, these scents were woven into daily life — marking celebrations, quiet evenings, and moments of comfort that became part of our family’s identity.
This legacy was carried forward by his son, Ahmed Munshi, the founder of Naima Essence. When Ahmed moved to London in 2008, he brought with him not only a love for fragrance, but years of inherited knowledge and a deep appreciation for the purity of natural oils.
What began as Ahmed sharing perfume oils with a small circle of fragrance lovers gradually grew through genuine appreciation and word of mouth. By the early 2010s, the demand expanded naturally — one blend at a time — as more people connected with the authenticity, richness, and emotional depth of the oils he crafted.
After nearly 15 years of refining blends, studying ingredients, and understanding how scent shapes emotion, it became clear that this passion deserved a name and an identity. That is how Naima Essence was born.
The name Naima — a feminine Arabic name meaning delight, tranquility, pleasantness, and bliss — reflects the emotions we hope our fragrances evoke. Derived from the Arabic root na’im, meaning blessing and ease, it captures the serenity and intention behind every creation.
Today, with over 20 years of fragrance experience behind us, Naima Essence remains deeply inspired by nature, tradition, and craftsmanship.
